This arrangement is dedicated to what Elpis would have been like before the fall. When I was making this cover, I had Hermes and Meteion playing with an ambystoma in the dazzling sunset of Elpis in my mind. The perfection that the ancients strived for is only made more tragic as we look back on their history and their legacy.
It's been a while since Endwalker MSQ came out, but I still find myself sometimes thinking of its story. We all wish for a piece of perfection in our lives, but is it really worth the suffering and forging ahead? I think the story of FFXIV 2.0 by itself is a testament to why it's at least worth trying.
I tried looping it like a normal field theme would in a soundtrack. Thank you for listening!
