Hey everyone, it's Magic, I made 3311 frontlines (on this char), let's be friends!
#FFXIV PvP FRONTLINE #Guide - Specific for Astrologians and Borderland Ruins (Secure) map.
#FF14 PvP TEXT Guide and Tips for beginners and advanced players HERE ↓ ↓ ↓

Useful info:
Step 1. Unlocking
To unlock Frontline, complete the 30 lvl quest "Like Civilized Men and Women" in your Grand Company headquarters. Locations:
Limsa Lominsa – Upper Decks (X:12.7 Y:12.8) NPC: Trachraet
New Gridania (X:9.9 Y:11.4) NPC: Scarlet
Ul'dah – Steps of Nald (X:8.6 Y:9.4) NPC: Mimio Mio

Step 2. Setout:
- Forget everything you learned in PvE, the skills are different.
- Forget about the gear, it doesn't matter.
Teleport to Wolves Den Pier and open your “Pvp Profile”. It’s time to arrange your hotbars.

Tip for beginners: group the actions by type: offensive (single target, aoe, buffs) and defensive (debuffs/heals/shields).
- Choose an inconspicuous mount because big mounts are visible for the enemy from bigger distances. Assign a hotbar slot for it. Also, being a lala helps in pvp.
- Use “Sprint” to increase movement speed. This effect ends upon reuse or execution of another action. So, if you are running, and the enemy is hitting you, his movement speed is slower than yours, meaning that you can probably escape and save your life.
- Assign a hotbar slot for the Limit Break (which is individual!)
- Assign a hotbar slot for “Return”
- Optional: markers (you can mark your healer with a cross, for example) and waymarks (to put a B near your base because you join a random GC every match). If you see an enemy marked with “1” or similar, try to focus him instead of the others (but no obsession).

! The rewards are: EXP points, tomestones, wolf marks (buyable mounts, minions, gear, glams, etc), achievement mounts, gear and titles.

- Take a look at PvP Health Points for each job and their damage modifiers, for example, AST has 49.500, and a Paladin, 60.000. And -30% and -60% damage modifier, respectively.

- Queue using Duty Finder near the reset time. (I also have the option "Join to the party in progress" on).

Step 3. Once there:
- Read the chat, pay attention to the calls.
- You can change job. At the start and DURING the match (but only in your respawn point). You will get the exp for the job you queued with.
- Map always open! Track the node spawns and where the most of your team are.

TIME LIMIT 20 MINS: YOU MUST EARN THE POINTS BEFORE THAT TIME EXPIRES TO WIN OR BE THE TEAM WITH THE MAJOR NUMBER OF POINTS BY THE TIME IT EXPIRES.

- Mark healers if needed and “focus target” on someone who you think is a good player. For example, a "Hand of Mercy" or a pvp mentor. Try to follow him. If you are a dancer and he is a DPS, give him the partner.

- If you are mounted, and an enemy deals damage to you, you get the Heavy (“Limp”) status, which makes you very slow for 10 seconds. It’s very annoying, believe me, so try to get off the mount before getting to the damage range of the enemy. (You can remove it with “Purify” and some other spells)

- Use “Recuperate”. It’s the ultimate skill. It instantly restores own HP (Cure Potency: 15,000) for the cost of 2.500 MP. It means that, as we have 10.000 total MP for all the classes, it´s like 4 charges – you can restore 60.000 HP in a few seconds.

And when you run out of MP,
- Use “Standard-issue Elixir”. It restores both your HP and MP to maximum. You must get to a safe place to use it, because it´s casting time is 4,5 seconds, and the casting will be interrupted not only if you move, but also when damage is taken.

- The more teammates you have near, more is the chance to kill someone, and the less is the chance for you to get killed. Stay together, don’t split. Don’t fight both alliances at the same time, regroup.

- Know when to stop. Don’t chase, remember the objectives. Don’t go too far from the group.

- Try to use your Limit Break (LB) as much as possible.

- Don’t stand still and in the middle of the enemy group, you'll get targeted and focused, if a lot of enemies hit you all at once, no healer will save you (but use "Guard"). The idea is to move back when you are targeted and wait for the enemy to change their target. Then you may go inside again.

- Battlehigh (BH)
Battlehigh is a buff. You get 2 BH points for an assist and 10 for a kill. So, at 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 BH points you will see your damage and healing increased up to 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% respectively.
When you die, the BH is halved. When you change the job, it’s reseted.
Always have in mind the BH of the enemy you are fighting with. If he has BH 100 and you - 0, he will kill you easily if it’s 1 vs 1.
A good Battlehigh can help you to win the game, but don’t get obsessed with it – if you know your job, you´ll be fine without it.

OMG seems I can talk for hours... Anyway, there is no space left here, I'll post more tips in another video.
