***Argath appears as the last boss of the Royal City of Rabanastre, in the ruins of Lesalia beneath the city. He wields an auracite allowing him to transform into the Lucavi Duma. He recognizes Ramza bas Lexentale as a descendant of House Beoulve.

According to Encyclopedia Eorzea II, Argath's story in the world of Final Fantasy XIV was much the same as it was in Tactics, although he died to Delita in Lesalia instead of Ziekden Fortress. After Delita killed him, Argath's family heirloom - the Duma auracite - activated and transformed him into an undead Lucavi seeking to exact revenge on Delita. Ramza slew Argath and put his spirit to rest, with Delita completely unaware of the battle.

After this Encyclopedia Eorzea II questions if Argath's spirit stayed in Lesalia for all the centuries until the Warrior of Light found him, or if instead his ghost was called there by a higher power.
